BGL600 B5 Spiral Bevel Gear Lapping Machine is designed for lapping, in pairs, at high speed and precisely various bevel gears of which the maximum outside diameter of the ring gear is 600mm and the maximum outside diameter of the pinion is 254mm. The surface texture after lapping is up to Ra0.8 and higher, and the positions and sizes of the tooth contact patterns are improved. Therefore, the gear pairs drive more smoothly with a low noise level and the load capacity is increased. The machine is especially suitable for the mass production of various bevel gear pairs used for truck, passenger car, tractor, earth-moving machinery and ship-building industries.
 
Main Characteristics of BGL600 B5 Spiral Bevel Gear Lapping Machine
1. Both of the gear spindle and the pinion spindle are driven directly to keep the dynamic stability of the machine when it is running at a high speed.
2. The pinion spindle is the driving spindle, which makes the H (X) movements and the V (Y) movements along the column. The gear spindle is the driven spindle and makes the G (Z) movements.
3. All the V, H and G movements are performed through the precision ball screws driven by servo motors along the linear guideways. Both of the gear spindle and the pinion spindle are driven by spindle motors through multi-wedge belts. This facilitates the smooth transmission, high precision, low noise level and longer service life of the machine.
4. A SIEMENS 840D CNC control system is adopted on the machine to perform simultaneous 3-axis movements with 5-axis CNC controlled axes.
5. The machine has the following control functions:
a) Automatic adjustments of mounting distance,
b) Automatic tooth setting and backlash compensation,
c) Automatic runout inspection of double-flank meshing,
d) Automatic recognition of bur and collision on the tooth surfaces and
e) Automatic control and monitoring of load and speed.
6. 2—50Nm torque load may be applied through the motor spindle.
7. Lapping compound is sprayed on the meshing point at a high speed by means of the lapping compound supply system, which is equipped with a heater and mixing device. This increases the productivity by shortening the lapping time and the spin off of the lapping compound at an ultra-high speed.
8. An excellent lapping results will be obtained through the controllable contact pattern displacements and the controllable speed on each point.
9. The machine has a convenient and friendly man-machine interface, which may provide programs for various lapping modes.
