Machine Overview
GMC1830 gantry machining center is one of our self-developed cnc machines.
The machine is gantry frame, movable table structure, good rigidity, strong shock absorption, wide processing range, good stability, the machine has milling, boring, drilling (expansion, reaming), tapping thread, countersinking and other processing functions, can be equipped with a variety of accessories milling head, with manual, automatic head change function, can be equipped with the fourth axis CNC turntable, to expand the processing range of the machine, to achieve the machine four-axis linkage processing function, the parts can be clamped at one time to complete the processing of multiple processes at the same time.
The machine structure and technology is mature, quality is stable. It’s suitable for kinds of mechanical processing field, such as automotive, marine, printing, packaging, textile, military, mold etc. The machine has the characteristic of high efficiency, high accuracy and high rigidity etc. It’s an ideal choice for enterprise high efficiency and batch processing.
 
Main structural features and characteristics of machine tools:
1. The main components of the machine tool are: bed, table, column, beam, slider, ram, pneumatic system, lubrication system, cooling, safety protection, guideway protection, numerical control system, electrical control, tool magazine system and other components. The bed is designed as a box-type structure with dense rib support, good stability and rigidity. And the bed, table and column are made of high-quality cast iron parts and after aging treatment to eliminate stress, which has good rigidity, stable precision and durability.
2. Bed, table, column, beam, slide, ram and other basic parts, are 3D finite element optimisation design, high-quality high-strength Meehanna cast iron casting. The castings are tempered as a whole to eliminate casting stress, and the rough machining is followed by secondary aging treatment to further eliminate cutting stress and other perfect processes to ensure the stability of the precision of the foundation parts.
3. The table moves longitudinally along the bed guideway as the X-axis, the slide moves transversely along the crossrail guideway as the Y-axis, and the ram spindle head moves up and down along the vertical guideway of the cross-saddle as the Z-axis. The column imitates "boot type" design, which effectively improves the tilting tendency of the column and improves the stability of the whole machine.
4. Servo axis structure:
X-axis: X-axis two heavy-duty roller-type linear guideway vice, the drive adopts AC servo motor through the precision planetary gear reducer to drive the precision ball screw sub-drive, the numerical control system accurately control the mobile position.
Y-axis: two mutually orthogonal and perpendicular heavy-duty linear roller guide and combined with a rectangular hard rail, constituting a "line - hard combination" of unique structure, good rigidity, fast response speed; Y-axis drive using AC servo motors through the precision gear reducer driven by a precision ballscrew drive, the CNC system accurately control the mobile position.
Z-axis: It adopts four-side encircling linear rail square ram structure, Z-axis travel 1000mm, and scraped and researched manually, which not only ensures the precision of the guide rail but also greatly increases the life of the hard rail.Z-axis drive adopts AC servo motor to drive the precision ball screw sub-transmission through the precision gear reducer to realise the vertical movement of ram milling head. Z-axis drive adopts the holding gate type servo motor, and symmetrically arranged double balancing cylinders to balance the structure and effectively balance the weight of ram and reduce the load of motor to improve the dynamic response. Balance the weight of ram, reduce the motor load and improve the dynamic response speed.
5. All the relative motion parts of this equipment have a perfect centralised lubrication system, which can achieve timing, quantitative automatic and manual lubrication, and can be detected and alarmed.
6. This equipment has an automatic cooling device with a coolant recovery and recycling device. The cooling system is arranged for the external cooling of the workpiece. The cooling system consists of a water tank, pump motor, filter, and piping, valves, and associated hardware necessary to provide external cooling to the spindle head. A cleaning water gun is standard.
7. Pneumatic: The compressed air of this machine tool is mainly used for the cleaning and blowing of the tool shank, etc. The pneumatic device should comply with the relevant pneumatic standards such as GB/T6576. Air gun for cleaning is equipped as standard.
8.Machine tool protection and chip removal
The machine is equipped with semi-protection as standard. In order to facilitate the operator to load and unload the workpiece, the front of the machine is not blocked, at the same time, in order to prevent iron filings, cutting fluid splash, before and after the installation of a section of the column protection, the right side of the machine tool (right column in front of the front side) is equipped with a door can be opened to facilitate the operation of the machine tool operator. The bed guideway protection adopts stainless steel retractable shield, and the beam guideway adopts armoured shield with labyrinth dustproof structure.
The left and right sides of the machine table are equipped with spiral chip conveyor and chip collector to collect iron chips.
9. Other configuration instructions
(1) The working area is equipped with lighting to adapt to night work.
(2) The machine tool is equipped with three-colour lamps, prompting three kinds of information: programme operation, completion of work cycle and fault alarm.
10. Machine tool working conditions:
a. Temperature
Working environment temperature 17° C ~ 25° C, the ideal temperature difference ± 2° C
If the requirements of the processed parts are not high, the ambient temperature range can be relaxed to 10 ° - 40°C.
b. Humidity
Continuous: below 75% (no condensation) Short time: below 95% (no condensation)
c. Installation site conditions
1. Free from external vibration as well as electrical interference.
2. Avoid direct sunlight to the machine tool.
3. Avoid direct contact with external wind, air and temperature regulation of cold and hot air.
4. Avoid setting up heating and other heat sources near the machine tool.
5. The concentration of dust in the air shall not be greater than 10mg/m3, shall not contain acid, salt and other corrosive gases.
6. Avoid water leakage and water immersion.

Machine control system and function table
The machine uses the international advanced control system: FANUC Oi-MF Plus CNC system, which perfectly responds to the design requirements of the machine tool and can realize multi-axis control and any 4-axis linkage. This system has track display, man-machine dialogue, automatic alarm and prompt functions, etc. The new iHMI man-machine interface board with 10.4″ color LCD (see below), beautiful and generous, good operability, it can display text: English, Chinese can be switched; both manual input and input through the USB interface, RS232, RJ45 network interface, CF card interface input for Data transmission and machine monitoring, using.
