Application of HMC1000 Horizontal Machining Center
HMC1000 HE Horizontal Machining Center is widely used to process the hole and plane of small and medium box parts as well as box parts with high hole spacing accuracy. After once clamping, HMC1000 HE Horizontal Machining Center can conduct milling, drilling, boring, reaming, tapping on four sides.
Features of HMC1000 H
orizontal Machining Center
1. Machine bed, column, table, headstock and other big parts adopt phenolic sand molding and high-strength cast iron to ensure high rigidity and stable precision.
2. AC servo motor is directly connected to ballscrew pair with coupling enabling X, Y and Z axes move rapidly.
3. X, Y and Z axes adopt high precision linear rolling guideway pair and the mounting surface is scraped manually.
4. High precision ballscrew with preloaded sides can eliminate precision loss caused by thermal expansion.
5. Spindle adopts two-point support; front and rear sides adopt high precision angular contact ball bearing.
6. HMC1000 HE Horizontal Machining Center spindle has good rigidity and high rotation accuracy; spindle bearing is cooled with the coolant oil in constant temperature tank to ensure reliability in high speed.
7. Headstock is directly driven by AC servo motor with brake to achieve high positioning accuracy.
8. 1° hirth coupling CNC rotary table with hydraulic brake is driven by AC servo motor.
9. X, Y, Z and B axes feedback servo system adopts motor encoder semi-close control.
10. Spindle adopts LICAT gearbox reducer with gear ratio of 1:1 and 1:4, spindle motor is connected to spindle via synchronous belt after gearbox reducer to achieve big torque at low speed and big power at high speed.
Horizontal Machining, also known as milling, relies on rotary cutters to remove metal from a workpiece. Horizontal machining occurs on a horizontal machining center (HMC), which employs a spindle that is parallel to the ground floor. With a horizontally oriented spindle, tools stick out of the side of the tool holder and cut across the side of a workpiece, encouraging chips to fall away from the table. Horizontal machining centers also allow for two-pallet changer integration to facilitate unattended operation and reduce part cycle times.
While FORTUNE PACIFIC horizontal machining centers range in size and capacity, we design each one with quality, reliability, ease of operation and safety in mind. Furthermore, thanks to our Production-On-Demand manufacturing philosophy, all of FORTUNE PACIFIC horizontal machining centers incorporate the latest, most advanced milling technology for boosting productivity and growing your business.
Whether your application calls for heavy-duty or high-speed machining of big or small parts in a high- or low-production environment, FORTUNE PACIFIC offer the widest range of horizontal machining centers in the industry to ensure you have the best solution for your needs with the lowest cost of ownership.
In comparison to a HMC the VMC
Offers the operator access to its machine chamber, allowing one to easily observe processing conditions – which is an option in most HMC
Simpler Set-Up, Management, and Functionality
Widely used in market, give it’s straightforward bugger,
More Versatile in comparison and offers relatively simple CNC program controls
Most Economically efficient and effective method of machining metal and/or other substances
VMC are simple to use compared to HMC and easier to setup and manage.
In a VMC, the debugger is easier hence why it’s widely used in the market.
VMC is more versatile compared to horizontal counterparts and have relatively simple CNC controls to program.
