Equipment summary
Vertical machining center is mainly used for machining spare parts with high precision, multi-procedure, complicated shape, such as plate, disk, shell, mould etc. It can complete milling, drilling, reaming, boring, tapping continuously as well as precise machining of slant face, two-dimensional and three-dimensional surface in one single clamping, the process is programmed and batch, production cycle is shorted, thus, the users will obtain good economic benefits.
1 General layout of machine
VMC855P vertical machining center adopts vertical frame layout, the column is fixed on the bed, spindle box moves up and down along the column (Z axis), the saddle moves longitudinally along the bed (Y axis), the table moves crossly along the saddle (X axis).
The large parts all adopt high strength cast iron material, including bed, table, saddle, column, spindle box etc.. They are optimized by 3D computer software, reasonable arrangement of stiffened plates and complete heat treatment process to eliminate residual stress, ensuring the machine with sufficient strength, rigidity and high stability.
2 CNC controller system
The CNC system is equipped with FANUC 0I MF (TYPE 5) system and supporting drive, which is full-featured and easy to operate; standard communication interface, UF socket and related software, with DNC online machining function.
3 Drive system
Y/Z axis adopts HIWIN/THK 45mm ultra-wide roller linear guide way, X axis adopts HIWIN /THK 35 roller linear guide ways, which has small friction and wear, high positioning accuracy and sensitivity, small vibration on high speed, long service life, interchangeability, as well as excellent servo drive performance, improving machine accuracy and stability.
X, Y, Z axis servo motors connect with HIWIN high precision ball screws directly by elastic coupling, realizing gap-free drive, flexible feed, accurate positioning and high transmission accuracy.
Z axis servo motor is with self braking function, in the case of power failure, it can brake automatically and hold the motor shaft tightly, offering safety protection.
4 Spindle
Spindle adopts Taiwan 10000rpm spindle unit with high precision and rigidity, P4 grade NSK bearing is used for spindle specially. The spindle is assembled under constant temperature and then pass through dynamic balance calibration and running test, improving the whole spindle’s service life and reliability.
The spindle can realize infinite speed variation in its speed range, and it’s controlled by motor built-in encoder and can realize spindle orientation and rigid tapping function.
Equipped with precision filtration water tank, multi-stage filtration for the coolant sprayed from the spindle centre to ensure the cleanness of the coolant. Equipped with high head high pressure water pump, the water pressure from the centre can reach 2MPa.
5 Tool magazine
Taiwan 24pcs arm type tool magazine is installed on the side of column, when tool changing, the magazine will be pushed by roller cam mechanism. when the magazine arrives at the tool changing position, the manipulator tool changer (ATC) completes the tool return and grasp, ATC is a gear hobbing cam mechanism, which can run at high speed and noiseless after preloading, making the tool change process fast and accurate.
6 Cooling system
Large flow cooling pump and large volume water tank are equipped to ensure circulation cooling, power of cooling pump:1000W,66.7L/min large flow cooling pump supplies the cooling fully. Spindle end is equipped with cooling nozzle, it can be either water cooling or air cooling, and can be switched at will. Air gun is equipped for cleaning the machine.
7 Pneumatic system
Pneumatic triplex can filter the impurity and moisture in the air source and prevent the damage and corrosion of machine parts caused by impure gas. Electromagnetic valve is controller by PLC program which can make sure the actions can be finished quickly and correctly, such as spindle unclamping the tool, spindle blowing, spindle air cooling etc.
8 Machine guard
The machine guards conform to safety standard, not only prevents coolant splash, but also ensures safe operation, and the appearance is beautiful. Every guide way is equipped with protection cover which can prevent chips, coolant from damaging guide ways and ball screws.
9 Lubrication system
Guide ways and ball screws are all centralized auto lubrication, each node is equipped with a quantitative oil separator which will inject the oil to lubricating parts quantitatively and regularly ensuring uniform lubrication and effectively reducing friction resistance, movement accuracy is improved, the service life of ball screws and guide ways are ensured.
10 Chip removal system
The iron chips produced in the processing fall directly into the protective compartment. The internal slant structure of the protection allows the iron chips to slide smoothly into the water tank drawer.
11 Oil skimmer system
The machine tool is equipped with Taiwan's high-power geared motor and adopts a disc-type separating mode, which can quickly leave the oil and water inside the processing machine, freeing it from the impact on human health.
12 Table exchange system
Adopt Taiwan Parkson APC-4680 vertical automatic exchange table system to achieve the synchronization of parts machining and loading/unloading. The positioning device uses the positioning taper sleeve to position the locking table, featuring high precision and high efficiency.
